Fritillaria thunbergii
(Bulbus Fritillariae Thunbergii, Zhe bei Mu)

Fritillaria is an herb used in all cough formulas for colds and bronchitis. It is valuable in chronic cough with a feeling of constriction in the chest accompanied by a lack of appetite. Additionally, it is helpful in clearing nodules, swellings, and abscesses, including lung abscesses. Fritillaria is indicated when there is lymph node enlargement.
